Lilliput Land began in 1976. Our goal was to provide a high quality miniature to our clients. We felt that the key to accomplishing this was to do accurate research of any period piece. Our research is developed and forwarded to our artisans who craft high quality reproductions. We can duplicate furniture from any picture sent to us. Our website reflects a continued effort to find new, beautiful and unique furniture. We, as a family hope you will enjoy the time and effort we put into our product.
Check our Web Site often we are constantly updating our offerings.

NEW HAPPENINGS

We are scheduled to make a special appearance in Dallas on May 2nd thru 3rd at the Texas Miniature Showcase. Look for future ads on this show. It should be great.

Ligia's Miniatures, consisting of some of the finest hand-made pieces, has joined this website. About Ligia in her own words:

"I have been working with miniatures for over 36 years in different media.
At first, I taught crochet, tatting, embroidery, tiny water colors, and
scrimshaw.  Later on I discovered enameling, the art of melting powdered
glass over metal.  I decided that this was my favorite medium.  An ancient
art, it was mostly used in Icons or Church items in medieval times and was
also popular in Asia.  I started to introduce this art into our miniature
world.  Presently I devote the majority of my time to this work, often
partnering with other artists, jewelers, and wood workers, to create scale
reproductions of museum pieces.  My favorites are the Faberge eggs, portraits
and French and Italian furniture.  By replacing Porcelain
and Pietre Dure surfaces with enameled panels I create my own
interpretations of these pieces.  Many original three dimensional items have
also well received."

Please peruse PAGE 13 of the furniture section. For any orders, interests or questions on Ligia's pieces, simply E-mail me at: sleeper4@cox.net
